Crash Course to Beauty: One-Week Intensive Training
Faces ETC of MN is a “Makeup Forever Partner School." Our products are for use in the Hi-Definition mediums we work and train in. There is no license for multi-media makeup, but certification ensures you proper training and familiarization with all multi-media formats such as film, print, HDTV, video, corporate, reality, and all new media.
These classes have been designed for and are offered only to “seasoned makeup artists” -- those with current working credits and experience who are wishing to enhance and expand their current skill sets. At Faces ETC of MN, we offer various options for learning.
For example, if the 130 Hour Course material is not applicable to a student, they may elect one of our CC2B One-Week Makeup Classes (an interview with the Director is needed to assess if the artist is a candidate for this type of fast-track training). Acceptance into these intensive programs is at the discretion of Faces ETC of MN.
CC2B (Crash Course 2 Beauty) One-Week Intensive Classes (30 Hours): This is a fast-tracked education for the current working artist to gain additional confidence, education, and experience in an industry medium in which they may not have worked in or felt comfortable with. Our CC2B classes are formatted into the following options: CC2B #1: Bridal/Print, or CC2B #2 Production/Film.
Crash Course #1:
This course covers bridal, print, and fashion. This course includes foundation principles and a light airbrush introduction. No kit or photo shoot is included in this course. Kits and photo shoots are available for this course "ala carte" -- please inquire about pricing.
This course is tailored for the working artist wishing to move from one medium to another. It covers all of the foundation principles in the 130 Hour Course, corrections, beauty steps, and face breakdowns, as well as details and skills necessary to work as a bridal or print fashion artist. With an introduction to airbrushing included in this course, the artist truly gains everything needed to begin generating income as a bridal, print or fashion makeup artist. This class is 30 hours in duration, and is a customized training class. If you have previous experience in HDTV and film, but wish to learn print and bridal techniques, this course covers topics of corrective foundation principles, highlights and shadows, face structure, lighting, eye shadow techniques, as well as morning, afternoon, and evening bridal techniques. Approval to attend this class is based on prior experience*. A deposit is required to secure a seat, and an assessment before enrolling is required.
*Prerequisite is former experience as an artist, and proof of work must be supplied. It is at the discretion of the school to determine if a prospective student qualifies for this intensive one-on-one fast-tracked education.
Crash Course #2:
This course covers film, HDTV, and Video. CC2B #1 is a PRE-REQUISITE to take this course. This course includes light special effects training. No kit or photo shoot is included in this course. Kits and photo shoots are available for this course "ala carte" -- please inquire about pricing.
This course is tailored for the working artist wishing to move from one medium to another. If they have previous experience in print and bridal, but have not worked in film or TV, this course utilizes the information they already posses, and gives them the foundation principles, as well as the required techniques for Hi-Definition work in this demanding field.
This course is for the artist wishing to expand their job marketability by moving into more production mediums like film, HDTV, music videos, corporate, reality, new media, and light SPFX. Here, artists will learn the different elements of these mediums, and how to become a multi-faced production artist. A Hi-Def monitor and camera are used to show the student exactly how the camera will read makeup on-set.
This class is only offered to those that have completed CC2B #1 (however, CC2B #1 and CC2B #2 may be taken together, which is then the fast-track equivalent of the 130 Hour Multi-Media Course for those unable to attend a Day Program). This class is 30 hours in duration and is a customized training class. Approval to attend this class is based on prior experience*. A deposit is required to secure a spot in this course, as well as an assessment is required before enrollment. Please call the school to schedule your meeting.
*Prerequisite is former experience as an artist, and proof of work must be supplied. It is at the discretion of the school to determine if a prospective student qualifies for this intensive one-on-one fast-tracked education.
