Our goal is to teach contemporary and up-to-date 130 HOUR certification courses in beauty make-up artistry. These classes are for the novice, freelance and experienced makeup artist.

Our beautiful Makeup School is state-of-the-art. Our Hi-Def camera, HDTV and specialized lighting allows you the perfect setting in which to view your work!
Our certification course will prepare you for a wonderful career as a Multi-Media Makeup Artist for film, television (HDTV), fashion, beauty, bridal, runway, video and print.
Utilizing a HI-Definition monitor and camera, our student's work is viewed in the most precise mediums. We also (as opportunity allows) offer a 'real life' experience to goon-set with our instructors*. Our graduates have earned feature film, corporate commercial shoots, video segments, runway shows, fashion shows, and print credits - all while still in school - with our on-set opportunities*, making Faces Etc. of MN the only school like it in the country.
The instructors at Faces Etc. of MN are working makeup artists for TV, film, print, fashion, music videos and stage - as well as licensed beauty educators with over 30+ years in the industry.
Learn all aspects of the industry, including airbrushing, photography, print, fashion, hairstyling, portfolio development, set etiquette, and more...and include a fashion photo shoot with professional fashion photographers - all highly esteemed in this Midwest market.

We rocked the 2008 Republican National Convention
Held in St. Paul, Faces Etc. of MN was there in full swing! We had makeup artists working in every venue, from the cover of People Magazine's 'Meet the McCain's' issue, to Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, The Washington Post, Newsweek Magazine, BET TV, and ABC's Elisabeth Hasselback from "the View."
We supplied behind-the-scenes support for Governors, Senators, Anchors, and many notables in Politics, like Presidential Adviser Karl Rove, and Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. We also worked with actors like Jon Voight and Stephen Baldwin.
Our Methods:
At Faces Etc. of MN our licensed beauty educators excel in the use of proven learning techniques: hands-onapplication with in-depth instructor feedback. This provides the broadest and most modern training in the field.
Included in the 130 Hour Multi Media Professional Makeup Artistry course is our professional business skills and marketing class to help prepare students for entry level work.
Students learn all of the important elements of make-up application. While focusing on mastering the skills and techniques used in the world of media make-up, they begin building from every day looks to more intricate applications.
Success is ensured through our smaller artist-to-instructor ratios that allow students to learn and master these step-bystep skills at a pace that increases confidence.
Various mediums are employed with an emphasis on custom blending of products.
The latest and fastest growing makeup application - airbrushing - is included.
The program culminates with a professional photo shoot day where we bring in top name fashion photographers to capture work in print. Students receive three 8x10's for their working portfolio.
Students also view and critique their work on a large high definition flat screen TV, enabling the perfection of the application process.

The 130 HOUR Multi-Media/Beauty Make-up Artistry Course
This program teaches the essential techniques needed for a career as a multi-media Makeup Artist. It is designed to prepare you for work as an entry level artist in film/TV, fashion, advertising, print, bridal and retail.
Note: some additional classes in special effects/character may be required.
Whether working with producers, models, musicians, photographers, or working to build a bridal clientele, the training you receive will give you the platform from which to grow!
Regardless of the medium you intend to work in, mastering the techniques of beauty and corrective make-up is a must!
Upon successful completion of the course, a Faces Etc. of MN Certificate ofCompletion will be awarded.

Faces Etc. of MN now offers nine CIE State approved classes to help you achieve your state required Instructor's Continuing Education credits - keeping your Minnesota license hours up-to-date!
