Brenda Augustine~ Director Advanced Educational Training Center

Brenda graduated from the Aveda Institute in MPLS in 1999, with her Esthetics’ License. She soon became known as the bikini queen utilizing her amazing talent with various waxing techniques. Throughout her education, Brenda was well aware of the importance of becoming proficient and skilled in all disciplines, regardless what part of the field you love the most you need to have a broad understanding of all your license encompasses!

Brenda started her career at a well known upper scale salon, working as their only esthetician, building her clientele base quickly with the help of advanced classes offered by the product line she carried. Attending as many classes as she could over the next 2 ½ years-she was asked to help teach the classes and do some of the practical demonstrations. Brenda was hooked~
She could see the importance of understanding the place that Advanced Education played in the overall success of anyone wanting to work and excel in this industry.

By 2002 Brenda had pursued and received her Instructor’s License and began teaching at one of the leading Esthetic schools in Minneapolis! By teaching so many different aspects of the industry, she learned how to teach students, the” beauty of the beauty industry” (which she says proved to be extremely valuable as an educator). This changed the destiny of my career.

Brenda’s passion ignited, and she soon became known for being one of the leading “theory educators” in the state for undergraduates, and grew the program to the top of the charts! But there is more than just getting a license- you need to stay educated as the industry changes quickly, especially the skin care industry! There is a great need for advanced education in all areas of the beauty industry, now through Faces Etc. of Mn; Brenda is using her passion to bring education to the masses

Brenda was involved at the ground level helping to launch the first Paul Mitchell Partner School including a partnership with the International Dermal Institute. Brenda was teaching education that would normally be taught at the post graduate level, teaching cutting edge education is where Brenda excels in her gifting.  As an educator for the past 6 years Brenda says:” I am very proud to have been a part of molding so many successful careers”.

For the past four years, Brenda has been a member of Minnesota Salon and Spa Professional Association (MNSSPA, an elite group of educators in the state). She participates in organizing the Heartland Beauty Expo, as well as Instructs and teaches as a Platform Artist.

Also working as a freelance Makeup Artist, Brenda began doing make up for many local projects, working the last four years for Art wear in Motion; she was also the Makeup Artist for a local set and fashion Designer, doing many holiday events and runway shows.
